The Pigeons of Ponzini (pp. 1-18): 1. On page 16, after Julian shows his mom the pigeon he says, "Sometimes when you brace yourself for a storm you get a gentle breeze. The storm only comes when you're braced for nothing whatsoever." What does Julian mean when he says this and WHY do you think so? 2. Do you think Lonnie should have helped Julian kill the pigeon after it had been hit with the rock? WHY or WHY NOT? Me and Shakespeare (pp. 19-20): 3. Does Julian feel that it is fair of Mr. Selkirk to have him write a journal? WHY? Use proof from the story to support your answer. Racing with Cars (pp. 21-27): 4. Julian proudly states on page 22 that he is the fastest kid in the sixth grade. What is one thing that you are proud of that you do really well?

Well I think what he mean if when your ready for bad stuff to happen nothing really happened but when your not ready for stuff to happen bad stuff happen.I think no because maybe it had a chance of getting better and flying away.Julian does not feel like it is fair of Mr.selkirk to have him write a journal because he said if you do a good job on this one you can get out of the other ones he had lined up.One thing that I am proud that I do is playing baseball because I am good at it.

What Julian means is that when you’re ready for something big it turns out to be something small. When you’re not ready for something it turn out to be huge.

He means when your looking for something big then he is going to fined something even smaller.
